Bariloche - Buenos Aires

Day 7 - Bariloche - Buenos Aires

Bariloche, Buenos Aires

Wednesday, 28 August 2013

We checked out of our hotel in the morning and went for a 3 hour tour around Bariloche. It felt a bit like going on a Gilligan's island tour without getting shipwrecked on an island!

We went for a ride on a chairlift at Campanario Hill Lookout. The views were spectacular up there. The wind was blowing a gale and I won't mention the wind chill factor, but it took a while to get the feelings back in my hand. Luckily, there was a nice warm fire in the cafe up top.

Later we stopped on the side of the road for one final look across the lake. This is apparently a "postcard" spot and it was great.

We stopped at Saint Eduardo Church for a look before heading back in to town for a bite to eat before departing for the airport. Panic stations hit as Pete realized that he had left his camera in the chocolate shop in Bariloche. Mariana and Pete went back with the bus to see if it was still there and returned by taxi. Crisis over - camera located at the chocolate shop.

Hello Buenos Aires!

  1. Hello Brian and crew. Finally caught up with your trip. Photography is fantastic, of course. Some great shots.
Looks really cold - very different to our Sticky Rice travel last year.
Enjoy every moment. Will follow your progress.
Only 3 weeks until I leave for Spain.
