Day 13 - Rio De Janeiro - Iguazu

An early morning this morning as our flight was departing at 955am, so it was up at 6am. Marcelo, our local guide, dropped us off at the airport and checked us in withTAM. It was as low process with only 2 staff checking passengers in, but once additional staff arrived, the checking moved quickly. We departed on time.
We arrived at Foz do Igaucu airport and took off in the bus for lunch. We then headed off to the bird sanctuary, but as an option we had an opportunity for a helicopter flight over the falls. Interestingly, we all took up the offer. Spectacular!!! What an experience.
The bird sanctuary reminded of the bird areas at Healesville Sanctuary.
Our hotel is a resort like hotel and is fantastic. Two days here before we head off to Peru. We have a couple of border crossings between Brazil and Argentina in the next couple of days.
