After lunch we had some time to ourselves and Sipah (our guide) was able to arrange for 7 of us to go on a balloon ride. Not quite the traditional balloon ride, but a tethered balloon ride. It was a magnificent view of the whole Angkor Wat temple complex.
We were on the hunt for an ATM and found one on the corner near the hotel. On the spur of the moment we went for a quick ride on a tuk tuk. The traffic is crazy to say the least. Buses, cars, tuk tuks, motor bikes, bikes. Everyone ducking and weaving all over the place. It really is an experience.
We headed off to Tahpromh for a look before dinner. There has been a lot of damage with the trees over the years. One of the Tomb Raider movies was filmed here.
Our last stop for prior to dinner was Prerup where we climbed to the top of the temple to watch the sun set. Not really a spectacular sunset due to the cloud cover of the approaching storm.
Finally, we went on to a local restaurant for dinner. Another great meal.
